Andrea L. Mikusa is a former writing teacher from Huber Heights, Ohio, who believes that stories have the power to shape how young readers see themselves and the world around them. Through her writing, she creates meaningful stories that encourage empathy, kindness, and courage in children. Her book The Jacket That Didn’t Fit reflects her passion for helping young readers understand the importance of compassion and standing up for others.

Andrea enjoys writing across different genres, but her greatest joy comes from creating stories that inspire children to feel confident, valued, and brave. When she is not writing, she loves spending time with her family, enjoying a warm cup of coffee, and occasionally singing karaoke a little louder than she probably should.
